BERKELEY - The idea came to Dan Torsiello when he was visiting the village of Mushaki while waiting to go on a mountain gorilla trekking tour of the Democratic Republic of the Congo a year ago.
"The school was clapboards and lean-tos," said Torsiello, a social studies and history teacher and girl's basketball coach at Central Regional High School. "When I came back, I asked my girlfriend, Jackie, 'Do you think we can build a school?'"
